Community Guidelines

Last updated: 12 February 2026

Fruzo connects people around the world through random matching, video chat, messaging, and social discovery features. Because users meet strangers instantly and often face-to-face, Fruzo requires a higher standard of conduct to maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment. These Community Guidelines explain acceptable and unacceptable behavior across all parts of Fruzo.

All users are expected to follow these rules whenever they create a profile, start a video session, join a livestream, message another user, or interact with any feature on the platform.

Respectful Conduct and General Behavior

All interactions on Fruzo must be respectful, civil, and considerate. Users shall:

  • Approach each encounter with courtesy and good faith, recognizing that random matching introduces people of diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures.

  • Disengage politely when uninterested and avoid hostile or confrontational behavior.

  • Treat others as real human beings, not as entertainment props or objects.

Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Harassment, bullying, trolling, or attempts to antagonize.

  • Hostile language, insults, degrading comments, or verbal attacks.

  • Harassing someone who has disconnected or repeatedly rematching to target a user.

  • Humiliating, mocking, or ridiculing users, including making fun of accents, appearance, location, or socioeconomic status.

  • Shouting, aggressive gestures, or attempting to intimidate through body language or tone.

Repeated disrespectful interactions may result in restrictions or removal.

Random Matching Etiquette and Real-Time Interaction Standards

Because all matching on Fruzo is random and immediate, the platform places special emphasis on appropriate behavior in live encounters. Users must not:

  • Use the camera to shock or disturb others (e.g., sudden inappropriate exposure, violent imagery, extreme close-ups, or startling actions).

  • Attempt to trap users in a conversation by repeatedly reconnecting, blocking their view, or preventing disconnection in any way.

  • Use the platform in dark rooms, hidden environments, or settings that obscure identity in order to create fear or discomfort.

  • Show multiple people unexpectedly, especially when the intention is to surprise, confuse, or embarrass another user.

  • Engage in “drive-by” harassment — quickly connecting only to insult, flash, yell, or troll before disconnecting.

Users should maintain a well-lit environment, behave predictably, and ensure their face is visible to promote safety and trust.

Prohibited Sexual Behavior and Adult Content

Fruzo is not an adult platform. Random video matching is particularly vulnerable to sexual misconduct, so strict rules apply. The following are prohibited at all times:

  • Nudity, exposure of genitals, buttocks, or female-presenting nipples.

  • Masturbation, sexual gestures, sexual posing, or sexually arousing behavior.

  • Unsolicited sexual talk or attempts to steer conversations in a sexual direction.

  • Requesting or offering nude images, explicit videos, or erotic activity.

  • Attempting to “test boundaries” to see what sexual behavior is tolerated.

  • Using random matching to lure users into adult conversations on external platforms.

  • Fetish content, fetish roleplay, or sexualized behavior that is not explicit but clearly intended for arousal.

Users who violate sexual conduct rules in random chat are removed without warning.

Commercial Sex, Prostitution, Escorting & Transactional Behavior

Fruzo strictly prohibits using the platform for any form of commercial sex, transactional relationships, or compensated interactions of any kind—whether explicit or implied. Users must not:

  • Offer, request, negotiate, or imply sexual services in exchange for money, gifts, financial support, digital currency, goods, housing, or anything of value.

  • Engage in or attempt “sugar dating,” transactional dating, allowances, paid companionship, “paid dates,” or any relationship conditioned on compensation—directly or indirectly.

  • Reference, solicit, or discuss payments, gifts, tips, allowances, compensation, or financial arrangements tied to communication, attention, romantic interest, or sexual interaction.

  • Promote, advertise, recruit for, or imply availability for prostitution, escorting, companionship services, adult meetups, or commercial sexual activity.

  • Attempt to move users to external apps or platforms for the purpose of arranging paid or compensated interactions, whether online or offline.

  • Use Fruzo to send, distribute, or promote links, handles, QR codes, or references to escorting websites, adult service directories, prostitution-related platforms, or any third-party sites offering sexual services.

  • Advertise or promote personal or third-party services that involve sexual companionship, adult content, adult entertainment, or compensated intimacy.

Any attempt to arrange or exchange sexual or romantic conduct tied to compensation, in any form or through any channel, results in immediate account removal, and may be escalated if the behavior suggests exploitation or trafficking.

This prohibition applies to all areas of Fruzo, including:

  • Profiles

  • Bios and usernames

  • Private messages

  • Livestreams

  • Random video chats

  • Status updates

  • Links, external references, or user-generated content of any type

For more information, please see our Human & Sex Trafficking Prevention Policy.

Safety of Minors and Age-Restricted Conduct

Fruzo maintains strict safety rules:

  • Only adults aged 18+ may use Fruzo.

  • Users must not display minors on camera, even incidentally (in the background, passing by, or present in the room).

  • Users must not ask another person’s age in a sexualized or inappropriate context.

  • Any sexualization of a minor—including someone who appears under 18—is strictly prohibited.

  • Users must not pretend to be a minor, claim to be underage, or adopt “child-like” personas, voices, or filters meant to simulate underage behavior.

Any conduct involving minors results in immediate removal and may be reported as required by law.

Violence, Threatening Behavior, and Disturbing Content

Users must not:

  • Threaten violence or make statements implying harm to themselves or others.

  • Display weapons, dangerous tools, or objects intended to intimidate.

  • Show blood, injuries, graphic violence, or disturbing images.

  • Pretend to commit violent acts on camera or simulate crimes.

  • Perform dangerous stunts or behavior that could lead to injury or distress.

If a user appears distressed, intoxicated, or in danger, users should disconnect and report the situation.

Deception, Exploitation, and Predatory Conduct

Fruzo prohibits all forms of manipulation or exploitation, including:

  • Catfishing — using another person’s photos, videos, or identity.

  • Attempting to scam, deceive, or extract money, gifts, or personal information.

  • Fabricating emergencies or emotional crises to solicit help or funds.

  • Misrepresenting your intentions (e.g., pretending to seek friendship while attempting to solicit sexual content).

  • Using psychological manipulation to prolong conversations or influence vulnerable users.

  • Targeting users from specific countries for fraudulent or exploitative purposes.

Predatory behavior results in immediate account action.

Personal Information, Privacy, and Consent

Users must respect the boundaries and privacy of others. Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Asking for personal identifying details (full name, address, workplace, phone number, etc.) during random matches.

  • Pressuring someone to reveal personal or sensitive information.

  • Sharing screenshots, recordings, or saved videos of Fruzo interactions without clear permission.

  • Attempting to uncover or guess another user’s identity through interrogation or trick questions.

  • Sharing your own extremely sensitive information in a way that creates risk (for your safety and others).

  • Displaying documents, IDs, passports, mail, or financial details on camera.

Consent matters. Users are responsible for ensuring all sharing is voluntary and appropriate.

Off-Platform Movement and External Communication Risks

Users should be cautious when moving conversations outside Fruzo. The following conduct is prohibited:

  • Pressuring someone to shift to another platform (WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, etc.) against their wishes.

  • Redirecting users to third-party sites, adult platforms, or payment pages.

  • Attempting to sell, promote, or exchange services off-platform.

  • Steering users to private channels for the purpose of evading Fruzo’s rules or monitoring.

Users may choose to connect externally, but Fruzo strongly discourages sharing personal details until trust is established.

For more information, please see our Safety Tips & User Safety Guide and Offline Meeting Safety Tips.

Impersonation, Identity Misuse, and Misrepresentation

Users must not:

  • Impersonate celebrities, influencers, or public figures.

  • Use filters, masks, or face-altering tools designed to mislead.

  • Present pre-recorded video or use screen loops to simulate a live feed.

  • Claim to be Fruzo staff, moderators, or security personnel.

  • Use avatars, costumes, or props meant to obscure identity in threatening ways.

Fruzo encourages authentic, honest representation at all times.

Illegal and Prohibited Activities

Users are forbidden from using Fruzo to participate in or promote illegal conduct, including:

  • Showing illegal drugs, using substances, or engaging in drug-related activities on camera.

  • Trafficking, selling, or advertising illegal goods or services.

  • Encouraging criminal behavior, hacking, or unlawful acts.

  • Engaging in human trafficking, exploitation, or smuggling.

  • Coordinating fraudulent schemes.

  • Sharing confidential or proprietary documents.

Illegal activity may result in account removal and potential reporting to relevant authorities.

Spam, Bots, Manipulation, and Platform Abuse

Users must not:

  • Send repetitive, unwanted, or copy-paste messages across matches.

  • Use automated scripts, bots, or third-party tools to manipulate matching frequency or visibility.

  • Flood the system with fake profiles or mass-created accounts.

  • Artificially boost popularity or visibility using external tools.

  • Abuse the reporting system to target users maliciously.

Disrupting Fruzo’s systems or harming the fairness of random matching violates platform integrity.

Profile Requirements and Content Standards

Users’ profiles — including photos, bios, usernames, and captions — must:

  • Accurately represent the person.

  • Avoid misleading information.

  • Present users in appropriate attire (no underwear or sexualized posing).

  • Exclude violent, hateful, or disturbing imagery.

  • Avoid commercial advertising or external promotions.

  • Avoid political campaigning or inflammatory political content.

  • Reflect real, recent photos of the user.

Fruzo reserves the right to hide or remove content that undermines safety or trust.

Livestream Behavior and Audience Interaction

Livestreams follow all the rules for random matching, plus additional expectations. Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Provoking or encouraging audience harassment.

  • Hosting sexually suggestive performances.

  • Using livestreams to promote scams, adult services, or off-platform sales.

  • Displaying alcohol or drugs in a celebratory or irresponsible manner.

  • Broadcasting others without their knowledge.

  • Organizing coordinated attacks, raids, or bullying.

Users are responsible for moderating their environment and interactions.

Community Atmosphere and Platform Trust

Fruzo is committed to maintaining a global community that is welcoming, diverse, and safe. To preserve this atmosphere, users are expected to:

  • Use common sense and avoid borderline behavior that pushes against the platform’s purpose.

  • Refrain from retaliating when they feel offended — instead disconnect and report.

  • Avoid behavior that may be technically allowed but obviously harmful, manipulative, or uncomfortable.

  • Act in a manner that promotes healthy interaction between strangers.

Fruzo may limit or remove users whose conduct consistently damages community trust, even if each individual act is minor. For more information, please see our Reporting, Moderation, and Appeals Policy.
